1:1 Mentorship with Myra
Navigate Systems.
Create Change.
Advance Yourself.
Personalized, high-level mentorship with a gender and and social inclusion expert for the professional who want to challenge inequities and influence change in institutions in a way that is strategic, sustainable, and grounded in evidence—not guesswork.
Stop fixing yourself and start shifting the floor you stand on.
This mentorship is for you if:
You read a new policy and immediately see who it leaves behind.
You are the one colleagues come to when something does not feel right — not because it is your formal role, but because you will actually name it.
You’re tired of advice that tells you to “lean in” or change yourself to fit the system.
You care deeply about creating more equitable environments, but don’t want to burn out in the process.
But knowing what needs to change and knowing how to change it — strategically, sustainably, without being written off as the difficult one — are two different skills. The advice that usually gets offered does not account for the institutional architecture you are working inside, and you have probably watched it fail enough times to know that the problem was never about capabilities.
This mentorship is not for you if you are looking for motivational support or personal mindset coaching.
What Working Together Looks Like
This is a tailored, 1:1 mentorship experience designed around your context, your goals, and the systems you operate within. This is not traditional coaching. It is strategic partnership grounded in extensive experience, data, and deep institutional understanding.
You can engage at the level of support that fits your needs.
Strategic Intensive
4 weeks
For a specific, time-sensitive challenge: a high-stakes negotiation, a policy you're trying to push through, a moment where you need to show up with strategy and not just instinct. By the end of four weeks, you will have a clear, evidence-grounded action plan for that challenge.
Systems Shifter
3 Months
For the professional who is tired of responding to individual incidents and ready to build something more durable. Over three months, you will move from reactive to strategic — developing a long-term approach to the institutional challenge you're working inside, with the frameworks, data, and language to sustain it.
Leadership Retainer
6 Months
For those in who are navigating complex institutional dynamics and need more than a periodic sounding board. Over six months, you will have a dedicated strategic partner with deep institutional experience — someone who understands the political reality of the work, and who can help build the case and hold the line.
In this 1:1 mentorship space, we don’t talk about how you can change to fit the system.
We develop strategies to change the system work so that it works for you.
My Background
I have mentored over 20 gender focal points and professionals across the United States, Africa, Asia, and Latin America—supporting them to develop strategies and programs that advance more equitable workplaces and health outcomes within their own institutional contexts. My work has focused on translating evidence, data, and research into practical strategies that influence policy, programs, and institutional change.
I bring over 20 years of experience working on gender equality across global institutions, such as the World Bank, and academic spaces, including Johns Hopkins. I've done this work from the inside—as a manager and as a Gender Equality Director at a major global health organization—where I navigated these same systems, led internal advocacy efforts, and negotiated for change for both myself and my team.
I understand both the theory and the reality—how systems are designed, how they function in practice, and what it actually takes to move things forward.
“Myra is a dedicated gender equality professional, with progressive views, innovative ideas, and an intuitive sense for strategy.
As my supervisor, I felt Myra’s support far more than her scrutiny. She encouraged individual growth, critical reflection, and team work. Within our department she built a cohesive, high-functioning team. She was a leader the team felt empowered to speak up to, question, and trust. She earned that trust over many years of championing our work to the organization and beyond, and pushing for excellence and evidence-based approaches in an often-overlooked technical area. ”
Ready to Find a More Powerful Way Forward?
The political moment and global context has made this work harder — and more urgent. You deserve to have someone in your corner who has been there, who understands the complexity, and who can help you find a way forward. If you are navigating a system in active rollback, leading an initiative that just lost its budget, or simply running out of runway to figure this out alone, this is the right time to talk. If you're ready to approach this work with more clarity, strategy, and support—let's explore what this could look like for you.
